Sustainable Business

The goal of a circular economy is to minimize waste and pollution, while maximizing economic growth and development. This is achieved through the design of products and systems that are regenerative by intention and aim to rely on renewable energy.

Using business strategy and circular design practices, we help clients transform to be part of an economic system in which resources are used, reused, and regenerated in a closed loop, rather than being extracted, used, and discarded in a linear “take-make-waste” model.

Eco Business Activists since 1992

Our principals and founders have been active in sustainable and regenerative design since 1992 where we were among the first agencies to join the IDSA’s Interdesign to work alongside an international cohort of corporations, researchers and students to develop closed-loop systems for industry.

Circular Design

Circular design is the process of designing products, systems, and services that align with the principles of the circular economy. This means designing with the intention of keeping resources in use for as long as possible, recovering and regenerating products and materials at the end of their life, and minimizing waste and pollution. We emphasize the use of renewable resources and closed-loop production processes.

Shifting to a Value-In-Use Model

We help clients shift to a value-in-use model. In a circular economy, the focus is on maximizing value-in-use by keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible, and designing them to be easily repaired, reused, or recycled. By extending the life of a product and its utility to the user, it can provide more value over its lifetime.

Working with bp’s Connected Innovation Group and Castrol Oil, we helped develop a circular strategy for re-using engine oil in Asia.
